❝I had asked [Joss] to give me two weeks’ notice before he takes my shirt off, just to give me some time to pump up. It’s your product, you want to make it ready. And Joss got this weird look on his face and called me over to the side of the sound stage and said, “Get ready, dude, ‘cause you’re going to go for Buffy next year”.❞

Another Whedonverse reunion tweeted by Michelle; this time she’s partying with THE MAN himself!
And if you’re wondering about the blue tips of her hair, it’s for her role in The Scribbler!

” I love fantasy. I love horror. I love musicals. Whatever doesn’t really happen in life is what I’m interested in. As a way of commenting on everything that does happen in life, because ultimately the only thing I’m really interested in is people.” -Joss Whedon

❝We had a few things in mind with Season 7. One, everybody was tired of being depressed, including us. Two, this was the last season. Three, let’s get back to where we started. Let’s go back to the beginning. Not the word, not the bang, the real beginning. And the real beginning was girl power. The real beginning is, what does it mean to be a Slayer? And, not to feel guilty about the power, but having seen the dark side of it, and finding the light again. To explore the idea of the Slayer fully and to see a very grown up and romantic and confusing relationship that isn’t about power, but actually genuinely beautiful between two people in the form of Buffy and Spike”. — Joss Whedon❞

I can’t even handle this… Why does anything Buffy related have the ability to render me as Spike would say “a watering tosspot” or “a nancyboy ponce”? Trying not to cry. (via fuckyeahnerdgasms)

reason #467 why i love Joss Whedon
  • The A.V. Club: How are we supposed to talk about Cabin In The Woods without spoiling it?
  • Joss Whedon: With vague enthusiasm. We’re supposed to talk about this movie like it’s a great movie—I should, as the one that made it. Drew and I wanted to make a really fun horror movie that had other layers in it. So I have two ways: “If you love horror, then you’ll love Cabin In The Woods!” And: “If you don’t love horror, you still might love Cabin In The Woods!” It’s designed for hardcore horror fans, but it’s also designed for everybody else. There’s enough thought and care and love and great craft that went into doing it, that the fact that it has some thrills and some hideous gore is—well, it’s either the cake or the icing. I’m not sure which. There’s cake. All I know is, you see it and you get cake.
  • AVC: Gore cake.
  • JW: Yes.

❝You know, I love all my raggedy children, But if I could be anywhere, I’d be on board Serenity.❞

What is “Buffy the vampire slayer” ? part 3

One of the first tv shows  focused on strong female characters , making the heroine , Buffy Summers , a feminist icon. After 10 years , we still remember each one of these characters :  independant , fierce  , warrior , bad ass. It’s not only about physical strengh or how well they use their weapons , it’s about their journey ( emotionnal pain…) and how they get through the worst , stronger than ever. They came to win , to fight ,to rise.
